Main Cottage
Indoors, this 1260 sq. ft. beach cottage is comfortable, and homey. An expandable dining room table is conveniently located by a large view window. A new woodstove with natural stone surround is a focal point of the cozy near-by living room. Sliding doors lead from the comfortable living room to the large deck. It is a split level, with basement, main floor and upper level…the staircases might be of concern to the elderly or fast-moving toddlers.
Bedroom Layout
The upper level of the home has a bathroom with jacuzzi tub and shower; the master bedroom with queen-size bed, and a smaller room with a built-in 3/4 size bed that might be too cosy for a couple, but perfect for an older child or one adult. The lower floor has 2 built-in twin beds, ideal for 2 kids, with another bathroom with a very small bathtub.
Side Cabin
The guest cabin is just a few steps away from the main cottage, and is only rented as an add-on. It has a Queen bed, a small double sofa that flops a sleeping cushion onto the floor, a bathroom with claw-foot bathtub and sink. The outdoor shower has hot water, and is wonderful after a refreshing dip in the ocean! This is rented as an add-on for $250/week or $50/night for 2 guests.
Intermittent Internet
A weak internet signal is available from Driftwood Cottage, the neighbouring vacation rental next door which is ideal for a 2nd family or larger groups.
Hiking Trails & Beach Combing
Wa Wa Kie Beach House is located in a quiet area with little traffic. Hiking trails are nearby, and the gently sloping beach is great for beachcombing or just sitting on the logs gazing at the ever-changing vista.
