Main Level Living & Easy-Access Yard
Families and elderly visitors will appreciate the convenience of this newly built home surrounded by flat, grassy landscaping since all the main living amenities are located on the main floor. The corner property is gated for young kids and pets, and the scenic landscaping brings the beach atmosphere into the yard. Patio areas are private, and will function well for outdoor dining during warm summer days.
LayOut of Home
The spacious open concept main level has a large entrance with cathedral ceilings and an open concept feeling, a full dining room and massive kitchen with ample countertops. The kitchen also has access out to the patio where the BBQ awaits another kitchen eating area inside as well. The entertainment room houses a large, flat screen television above a wood-burning fireplace and also allows access onto a back stone patio with comfy, new deck furniture and a fire pit for late night songs & marsh mellows! In-floor heating will warm your toes after a long walk on the beach. Laundry facilities and an eating nook are also located in the main area.
Main floor Wing
Traveling away from the central area is a wing where the master bedroom with king bed and ensuite bathroom are located. A second bedroom with Queen bed is also down this hallway, as well as another bathroom with full bath and a den/office room which could potentially be used as another bedroom- if you require this extra space, please inquire.
Second Level
The smaller upstairs living space houses a third bedroom with Queen bed; bathroom with shower; and a 3rd entertainment room with a pool table, 2 couches and a deck….a teenage’rs dream private space with breathing room away from the adults!
Ample Parking
There is plenty of parking for 4 cars in the attractive driveway. With 2 separate outside areas, both fenced, it is well-suited for bringing pets along. Please note that there are ample hardwood floors to consider with pets.
Great Location for Summertime Beaches & Winter Ski Trips
Whether your vacation time calls for flip-flops or ski boots, this brand new rancher has the ideal location for your family! Located inland on the east side of Vancouver Island, this home is walking distance to sandy Saratoga Beach, Miracle Beach Provincial Park, and the Oyster River. Head up to the alpine meadows in Strathcona Provincial Park for a nordic ski at Mount Washington, then return to the greenery of ocean level for an afternoon stroll watching storm waves roll onto the beach.
Oyster River Shopping
The plaza at the junction of the Oyster River and the old island highway is full of amenities, just short walk from your home. There is a full Discovery Foods Grocery store, liquor store, “The Forbidden Zone” which makes awesome pizza and expresso coffees, a medical centre and gas station. Try out the Salmon Point Resterant for a fine dining meal with nice views of the ocean from inside window seats and a fabulous summer patio. The Black Creek area is a unique farm community, with many private farms offering fresh farm eggs, organic lamb, and seasonal fruits and vegetables. There are several antique shops and the larger village of Courtenay & Comox airport are only 20 minutes south.
