This is an ideal location to get away from the busy buzz of Vancouver Island tourism! Nile Creek Gardens is located in beautiful Qualicum Bay/Bowser, midway between Comox and the quaint, trendy town of Qualicum Beach, and is a fantastic location to explore a multitude of activities in the mid-island area while staying on the fringe of the busier towns. A central location for house-hunting your new real estate venture or future retirement options!

Nile Creek Gardens is situated on the top of a plateau, tucked amongst towering trees, greenery and lovely landscaping. The property backs onto Nile Creek. Follow the creek through old growth forest trails to the railroad trestle and the hatchery, a salmon enhancement program run by local residents. This property is very peaceful, with plenty of privacy for you to bask in the sun or seek some forest shade. There is a delightful pond on the property, so please note this if you have small children or pets who need extra supervision while outdoors. A spacious covered veranda as well as the decks offer different vantage points for bird watching, sunbathing, BBQ’s or dining.
Layout of House ~ Main Floor
The house is very spacious for 4 guests and potentially 2 children by utilizing the living room couches. The main floor has a master bedroom with Queen bed, walk-in closet, television, adjacent laundry room and 2 walk-through ensuite bathrooms: a luxurious bathroom with a double jacuzzi tub and separate toilet room plus a second bathroom with a toilet, vanity with sink and make-up mirror, and a double walk-in shower. The pocket kitchen is compact but fully loaded with dishwasher and microwave, stove and fridge, and peeks out onto the forest. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen with a high oak pub table and tall chairs. At the far end of the house, the spacious living room spills out onto the deck through 2 French garden doors that swing wide open. This comfy room has a fireplace, television, and a double and single sofa sleeper which could sleep 2 children. At the end of a busy day, relax and enjoy the massage chair. Scrabble, Chinese checkers and crocinole are provided.
Additional Space Upstairs
At the top of the stairs there is a restful, sunny second bedroom with a small library, a DVD player and wonderful natural light. This room overlooks the pond and gardens and its garden-view balcony receives wonderful morning sun and offers a panoramic starscape at night. There is a second full bathroom right beside it with toilet, vanity and sink, and tub/shower. If needed there is a third ad-on bedroom available with pull out sofa for 2 extra family members to come along and enjoy!
And Yet Another Deck!
On the opposite side of the house is another upper deck which is very spacious, and is accessed from the outside of the house. A picnic table lives here…enjoy some outdoor dining. Sunbathing up here is 100% private! The wireless internet signal is also available outside on the decks for “surfing” in the sunshine! A laptop computer is available for your use if you have left your computer at home.

Please note that there is a separate building on the property that on occasion accommodates the grounds keeper staff member.
Forest Trails & Ocean Access Nearby
On the other side of Charlton Drive, Nile Creek meanders its way to the ocean. Just down the driveway are walking trails that cross a wooden bridge over the creek. For a visit to the ocean beach, you can stroll or bike down to the Old Island Highway to a public access to where Nile Creek spills out into the ocean. Fly fishing is excellent at the creek mouth! (please remember you will need a fishing license)

If you expect tasty food, you are coming to the right place! Despite being a smaller community, the Bowser/Qualicum Beach area has wonderful dining opportunities: The Bean Counter, The Sand Bar Café, The Roadhouse, Nickolinis’ Pizza, Tomm’s Grocery/Butchery/Bakery, Henry’s Chinese Food, The Fanny Bay Inn (famous for its oyster dishes) and the dining room at Arrowsmith Golf & Country Club are all worthy of a visit. 
Potential Daytrips
A local guide is available for hire right in Qualicum Bay to introduce you to fly fishing or to whisk you away in his boat to try out ocean fishing. Horne Lake Caves, just down the highway, can provide a good opportunity on a rainy-day to explore the local limestone & karst topography. Head south for 15 minutes and browse the quaint boutiques and upscale shops of Qualicum Beach and then drive to Parksville, home to Rathtrevor Provincial Park, which boasts an enormous sand beach stretching out for miles at low tide. Bring your kite! Nanoose Bay, with its marina, is 30 minutes south. Up-island, beachcomb Deep Bay or stop at Mac’s on the waterfront to buy fresh oysters. Shop the downtown stores in Courtenay and catch some live theatre in the evening. For a breath of mountain scenery, it is a about a 45-minute jaunt from Nile Creek Gardens to the Mount Washington chairlift.
 Shopping Alert!
Right in Bowser is a friendly ‘n funky antique/secondhand shop called “Things ‘n Such” with some amazing deals. Just a 20-minute drive in-island, Coombs Junction has a great coffee and sandwich shop, alpaca farm and the ever-popular Coombs market complex offers great produce and souvenirs, yummy treats for kids, a butterfly museum, and some surprises - - don’t forget to look for the goats on the roof!
