Sointula Hiking
Maps are available at your vacation rental in Sointula. Make sure you don’t miss the Matejoa Heritage Trail, which winds through an old farmstead, and a variety of stages of forest growth to a beautiful bog. There are good opportunities for bird watching inside Malcolm Island. Follow the local map and drive out to the lighthouse - there is a short, fairly steep trail down to the beach for nice photographs.
